American Airlines Hit By Fuel Prices

American airlines announced new fees and cutbacks due to the high prices of oil. The largest airline in America announced that there was an unexpected oil bill of 3 billion dollars which led the airline with no choice than cutting costs. AA said that it will be dropping domestic flights and the plan is that AA will also lay off thousands of workers, retire 50 jets and eliminate bargain fares.

Specialists say that the cut offs by AA will also happen on other airlines due to the increasing price of oil in America. The airlines will either raise the price of the tickets or charge for the extras in an attempt to get the money to pay their oil bills.
